Why
21 Red?
Liz
& Derek
(pictured
below with Emma),
one of our happy married couples,
provide the type of telling
testament we often hear:- |
| |
|
}...
we just didn't fully appreciate
beforehand how a band can make or
break your big event ... we put a
lot of thought and money into
minor details - the kind of things
that, frankly, most people hardly
noticed - without considering that
.... you
entrust the atmosphere of around
half your precious day into the
hands of your music provider
...
we honestly don't know what we
might have settled with if you
hadn't come so highly recommended
... of all the many things that
contributed to the success of our
wedding reception, 21 Red were
by far the most important and were
certainly
the best value for money! ~

The
clear message is:
|
don’t
underestimate how crucially
important your music is to
the overall success of your
wedding (INFO) |
|
There's
plenty of useful wedding planning
advice on the web and elsewhere, but
it tends to be curiously thin
on pointers about evening music.
This is mainly because most of that
advice is not
written specifically from the
perspective of the characteristic Scottish
wedding. The
fact is, the evening wedding dance
or "reception" is
traditionally far more important in
Scotland,
even in comparison to England. It
makes up much more of the complete
wedding day, and a significant
proportion of those invited to a
typical Scottish wedding are
"evening guests" only.
|
|
So,
to a fair number of your guests,
your evening reception is
your wedding day. In consideration
to them, and your day guests, you'll
want to ensure that the quality of
your evening entertainment — in
essence, your
"gift" to them
— is consistent with that of the
other things making up your day.
|
|
In
any case, it's the part of your day
that all
guests look forward to - formalities
in the bag, everyone loosening up -
it's party time! You haven't skimped
or taken risks with anything else -
this is precisely the last
place you'd want to start.
|
|
Quite
simply, your music is the essential
and ever-present backdrop to your
whole evening. If it's top quality
your guests will remember that; if
it's poor they'll remember that too
...

|
As
one of our recent couples testifies
by way of an old wedding adage:
"it's
true what they say, people always
remember the food and the band
..."
